Once again, The B&G Society was unable to attend Baltimore designer Emore’j Couture’s (5.31.2010 & 8.11.2010) Apparatus II: Reloaded due to unforeseen circumstances. After receiving rave reviews from the first show, Emore’J decided to bring the show back including fame designers Dominique of Dauxilly Designs of New York City and Jeantrix of Philadelphia, PA (will be doing a write-up of these designers soon). Dauxilly showcased her Spring/Summer 2011 collection at this show. I first met Dominique back in May when she held her website launch at Negril’s Village Restaurant (5.23.2010) in New York. Emore’J picked the right designer for his line-up to be featured in this fashion show and from the comments under the pictures on the Facebook profile of Baltimore Photographer Phelan Marc, I KNOW Dominique’s phone is ringing off the hook with requests. The ruching on the dresses, were neatly crafted and left little imagination with the sheer fabric. The short cocktail dresses were chic, sophisticated, and unique. As noted by Dominique, the designs will soon be available on her website http://www.dauxilly.com and if any Belle is interested in a custom design dress, her information is available on the site. A big special thank you to Photographer Phelan Marc, located in Washington, D.C.,  for allowing me to the use the beautiful pictures he captured of the models wearing Dauxilly designs on the catwalk.

THE SOCIETY FAVES: RED CARPET SHARP

I %100 hate sheer/see-through dresses…but I love how Dominique gives a tease with her designs
