Life Imitating Art

22 Mar

If you don’t know who Street Etiquette is about, then start learning. I always feel like I am in class whenever I read their style blog. Once again, these guys produced a fantastic editorial entitled “Sartorial Sounds”. The video, shot by Jarett Woo, captured the dangerous lyrics by spoken word artists Joshua Bennet and Joe Kenneth; sweet sounds from singers Jesse Boykins III, Mara Hruby, Theo Martins, and Melo X; and happy educated footwork from Rinaldy Alvarez.

As described on their blog,

“Sartorial Sounds integrates both music and style, two elements embedded in every culture past and present. We think it’s important to remember that everyone is an artist in their own right. And it’s the life experiences we encounter that provoke what we splash on our own blank canvas. We assembled seven individuals to partake in this editorial. The finished product incorporates their individual talents such as spoken word, rapping, singing and tap.”
